Song Poh Lan

Mdm Song currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Governors, Director, and Head of the Chinese Faculty at Mahans International School, showcasing her extensive leadership in cultural education. She earned her Master’s degree from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada, and holds a professional certificate in copyediting from the University of California, San Diego, reflecting her academic strength and linguistic expertise. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) at the University of Help, further enhancing her professional capacity in educational leadership and organisational development.
She has actively promoted traditional Chinese education and culture throughout her distinguished career. As an Administrator and Honorary Secretary at Amitabha Buddhist Society Malaysia, she significantly expanded the society’s infrastructure. She initiated impactful classical Chinese reading movements, enhancing community engagement by training teachers and organising cultural activities. Her international experience includes coordinating and moderating significant interfaith and artistic forums, such as UNESCO celebrations in Paris, interfaith summits in Australia and Malaysia, TEDx events, and dialogues at the Vatican.
Additionally, Mdm Song is an accomplished translator and editor, contributing notably to publications like The Sayings of Master Chin Kung, The Governing Principles of Ancient China, and Buddhism 360, facilitating cultural dialogue worldwide. At Mahans International School, she has adeptly navigated operational challenges, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, consistently promoting a multicultural, ethically grounded educational environment. Her efforts are directed toward nurturing global awareness and intercultural understanding among educators and students.

Pang Chee Ming possesses extensive leadership and strategic management experience. He has held senior finance roles such as Finance Director and Regional Controller across multinational companies. He oversees complex financial operations, strategic cost management, corporate governance, and organizational restructuring across the Asia-Pacific region.
Currently serving as a member of the Board of Governors Committee and Teacher at Malaysian Han Studies, he actively teaches and integrates traditional cultural values into his daily life and professional practices, promoting cultural heritage and ethical business practices among students and peers.

Lee Teong Hooi, LL.B (Hons)

Lee Teong Hooi is an experienced legal practitioner with extensive experience in litigation, intellectual property law, and corporate governance. He is also experienced in healthcare marketing, having previously served roles with prominent pharmaceutical organizations in Malaysia. Lee is deeply involved in education as a Board of Governors Committee Member at Malaysian Han Studies and Mahans International School, providing valuable insights into governance and strategic management.
In addition to his governance roles, Lee serves as a facilitator and teacher at the Malaysian Academy of Han Studies, actively promoting traditional Chinese studies, philosophy, and culture. He integrates his broad professional expertise with cultural education, fostering community enrichment and academic excellence.

Philip Moey Sam Fook

Brief Biography:

Philip Moey Sam Fook is an accomplished executive coach, leadership trainer, and financial literacy consultant with over four decades of extensive experience in accounting and the semiconductor industry. After a successful tenure as Director of Finance and Country Head at Vishay Semiconductor, Philip transitioned into consultancy and coaching roles, impacting global talent across Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
Philip is a member of the Board of Governors Committee and a Certified Trainer at Malaysian Han Studies and Mahans International School. He actively develops and supports unique leadership programs that combine Western philosophies with traditional Eastern Confucian values, emphasizing humanistic approaches to leadership and management.

Dr Looe Hui Mun

Brief Biography:

After working abroad for nine years, Dr. Looe returned home to Malaysia to contribute to the future of the electrical supply industry and at the same time to be near with his aging parents. Through the learning of Di Zi Gui and Liao Fan’s Four Lessons, he knows the importance of moral teachings directed by the ancestors and believes that a virtuous life is a happy life. He hopes that more people including his young children could reconnect and benefit from the rich traditional cultural education and heritage.

Liew Kwong Hong

Brief Biography:

After graduating and living in United Kingdom for over 10 years, Kwong Hong returned to Malaysia and currently works in the financial planning and investment industry. He was impressed that the Di Zi Gui teachings could instill good character in a child. With this confidence, he attended many classes at Malaysian Han Studies and learned to become a facilitator. In his spare time, he also volunteers at Di Zi Gui @ Sharings in Kelana Jaya, Selangor.

Robin Li Tan

Brief Biography:

She worked in the renewable energy and biotech industries in USA, with hopes to reduce our dependency on petrol chemicals. Robin completed a technology transfer to the National University of Singapore. She then received Singapore government funding to improve on herbal products. She is a GM of a Singapore company and consultant for a Hong Kong company.

Evon Liow

Brief Biography:

Evon had been in the early childhood industry for 21 years. She strongly believes that the mission of education is to establish the value of life with virtuous character building as its core, with parents and teachers playing complementary roles. Seeing the changes in the society and the increase of social problems, she feels that the immediate urgency is not to emphasize knowledge transfer, but to instill the notion of virtuous behaviour in children.

Teresa Liow

With more than 20 years of experience managing a preschool, Teresa took a break in 2021, joining MOE as Management Support. She decided to rejoin the teaching force again in October this year. Witnessing the evolution of society, the lack of moral teaching is one of her greatest concerns for future generations. In 2014, she encountered the teachings of Di Zi Gui and found this to be the most important key in life, and resolutely decided to pursue in-depth study of Di Zi Gui. She hopes to share the importance of moral education and to instil the notion of virtuous behaviour with more people.
