International Conference: Home Is Where Our Journey Begins

Di Zi Gui: The Standards for Being a Good Student and Child Workshop

About the Workshop

Workshop Overview
This six-day beginner’s course introduces Di Zi Gui and the traditional Chinese teachings that guide our relationships with family, friends, and others.
Since 2009, Malaysian Han Studies has conducted character-building classes based on Di Zi Gui. The course also draws on teachings from Liaofan’s Four Lessons, The Essential Chinese Common Courtesies, The Great Learning, The Book of Mencius, and The Treatise on the Response of the Tao (Taishang Ganying Pian). Together, these works offer practical guidance for living with purpose and building happier relationships.
Participants will learn through lectures, personal experiences shared by facilitators, group discussions, videos, drama activities, and practical exercises. They will also have opportunities to get to know others who share an interest in putting these teachings into practice.
Learn to lead with care, respect, and responsibility at home and at work, helping to build harmonious families and workplaces.
Explore how self-cultivation helps us develop good character, earn others’ trust, and fulfil our roles as children, parents, spouses, siblings, and friends.
Build meaningful friendships with people who share similar values, and consider how our actions can contribute to a more peaceful society.
On-site learning through lectures, group discussions, video presentations, drama activities, and practical exercises.
